This week, students displayed great enthusiasm to participate and encourage each other for the awaited event, 'Sports Day'. They practised for their Yoga display on Monday and cheered and encouraged their friends on Tuesday. Please find some glimpses below:
Students were read a book aloud to appreciate the present moment and practise mindfulness through this book titled- 'What Does It Mean To Be Present?'

On Wednesday, we had an assembly by Grade 3K students marking the 'Republic Day'. All students and teachers got to learn a lot of new things that are significant to this day. Also, there was a quiz at the end, where all the Junior School students participated and enjoyed new learning. Our daycare students also sang a song in two languages.
Thereafter, students were guided to write a reflection with the following prompt for their writing session. The visible thinking routine of 5Ws and 1H to express their thoughts and ideas was suggested. They were also guided to use the writing process to enhance their writing pieces.
For guided reading, students read their assigned books in groups. After reading activities were discussed from their books for them to write the responses in their books.
During the Maths sessions, students have been practising solving problems related to multiplication. They have been assigned some number and story problems to solve through their emails.
During their Hindi lessons, students created a story in groups. They also made puppets to support their story characters. The students were guided to write the story in their notebooks with the help of words from their word bank.
On Friday, during the Enrichment activity, students enjoyed the sport of Basketball with their coach.
Students were happy to receive a holiday in the middle of the week. It was appreciated that most of them were present on Friday. We are now looking forward to the field trip on Monday next week.
