This week, we had an exciting assembly marking 'Hindi Divas'. It is celebrated on the 14th of September every year. Students of Grade 3 created riddles and messages on the Sustaniable Development Goal: Good health and well-being.
There were other performances by other grade level students including a street play, singing of songs and a dance. Our students enjoyed being both the participants and the audience.
During our writing lesson, Ms. Elizabeth read aloud a book to us and helped students make connections with the text-to-text, text-to-self, and text-to-world.
In Maths, students learned the concept of counting in 6s, 7s, and 9s through a game. They had fun skipping the numbers and announcing a word while counting and skipping the numbers 6, 7, and 9.
In UOI, students continue to reflect on their personal journals/ diaries and food journals. This is a part of their action. They share their journal entries with their buddies.
Students of Grade 3 have been practising for the upcoming assembly on Tuesday. They will be singing a song and performing a short Freeze Frame activity.
During the guided reading lesson, students read their levelled books in their groups and worked on the different follow-up activities.
Students were introduced to the concept of Rounding numbers through short poetry and picture prompts. They reflected on the Maths concept using 'Solo Taxonomy.'
Students continue to research on their personal inquiries and present them during the personal inquiry session.
During the SEL session, students were read aloud a book titled 'Making Friends is an Art'. Thereafter, they connected themselves with the book using the 'Spider's Web' strategy.
Students practised the concept of counting in 6s, 7s, and 9s using the hundred's board and number patterns.
During the Hindi lessons, students created their stories in groups and presented them through puppets.
