Fabulous Fifteenth Week

The voice of joy, celebration and laughter were loud at the very start of the week. It was Children's Day on Monday, and students had loads of fun with an assembly by teachers where they performed a dance and a skit. The student council members also introduced the new play equipment provided for each grade level.
Post lunch, there was a 'Magic Show' arranged for the students. They thoroughly enjoyed that session.
After the show, students were guided to have fun at different stalls at the 'Bal Mela' that was majorly organized by the parents. It was such a fun and frolic day for the kids, parents, and teachers.
We have been practising the concept of addition in Maths using different strategies. This week we also started the concept of subtraction and solved some story problems in centres using a variety of manipulatives, tools, and strategies.
Mindfulness session on Thursday morning for the Junior School students led by Ms Karishma.
After the mindfulness session, some of the DP1 students came to discuss their action with us. They inspired us to participate in a campaign called 'Leaders for Tomorrow'. They distributed QR codes to give to the parents so that they may contribute to this action.
Students practised number problems related to subtraction.
Students were engrossed in being digital citizens by discussing the importance of a strong password. They were provided with different scenarios to discuss in home groups and expert groups.
During the guided reading sessions, students read their books in their groups and were guided to look for adjectives- describing words from the text.
Students have learned nouns, pronouns and adjectives. They read the story Gauraya aur Haathi and did the task of the beginning, middle and end of the story in their own words.
Students are also having fun while practising for the Musical. The details of their costumes will be sent via email once it gets finalized and approved by the management. Have a lovely Sunday ahead!
