"Student choice is more than simply picking a task. It is about owning the entire learning process".- John Spencer
The highlight of this week was the student-led conference. Students have been busy preparing and learning about various concepts and skills. This week, they focussed on continuing to apply their understanding of the concept of fractions in their daily lives when it comes to Maths.
They reflected on their understanding of the concept of fractions using the symbols of 'Solo Taxonomy'.
During the assembly this week, we celebrated the achievements of two of our friends from our class. Rishaan's championship in Taekwondo and Meera's artistic skills.
Students prepared personalized invitation cards for their parents for the student-led conferences.
Students were also guided to reflect on their goals in order to analyze and reflect on their achievements.
During the Literature Study session, Ms. Latha gave us the opportunity to reflect on our reading. She has further guide to identify the similarities and differences between the life of Stella and Ruby (the characters from the book).
For the UOI sessions, students inquired about the properties and uses of different types of materials.
Here are the glimpses of the main event of the week- The Student-Led Conferences.
In their Hindi sessions, students participated in creating learning resources as a group. They also practised for SLC presentations.
Students enjoyed the process of preparing for the student-led conference.
